Jalen Ramsey doesn't seem keen on the idea of remaining with the Jacksonville Jaguars for the rest of this season and beyond. Despite his trade request, the Jaguars appear to be keeping Ramsey, per CBS Sports' Jason La Canfora, after rejecting a trade offer that involved two first-round picks.

Earlier this month, Ramsey decided to solicit trade demands following Jacksonville's loss to the Houston Texans in Week 2. Somehow, his request to be traded was leaked to the media and the cornerback has remained adamant on his desire to be traded.

The Jaguars could easily get a large return for Ramsey from multiple teams in the NFL. If two first-round picks won't get it done, it's tough to envision Ramsey being moved anytime soon.

However, both the Jaguars and Ramsey have handled this situation in an odd way in the past couple of weeks. It began with the All-Pro cornerback confirming the reports of his trade request; along with him pointing out that he and his agent weren't the ones to leak the information.

Ramsey surprisingly played in the team's Week 3 contest against the Tennessee Titans on Thursday Night Football still. Usually, when a player demands a trade, they don't want to play to avoid an injury from occurring.

Then, the drama continued to ensue when Ramsey informed the team he wouldn't be practicing due to having the flu and back issues. On top of all of that, the Jaguars cornerback also was away during the birth of his child.

The situation continues to become even murkier as the days progress but both sides seem to be at a standstill. There are undoubtedly teams interested in acquiring a cornerback of Ramsey's caliber. At the same time, Jacksonville doesn't intend to part ways with their former first-round pick just yet.
