The Jacksonville Jaguars are not holding back at the onset of NFL free agency, locking down multiple big deals right at the start of the window, including some major additions for the offense. The Jaguars quickly moved to sign veteran offensive lineman Brandon Scherff, as well as former Arizona Cardinals wide receiver Christian Kirk, according to Ian Rapoport and Adam Schefter.

In addition to the deals secured by Scherff and Kirk, the Jaguars also addressed the defense by locking down star linebacker Foye Oluokon, as well as former New York Jets defensive tackle Folorunso Fatukasi. Ian Rapoport reports the deal for Oluokon is a huge one, as the linebacker is set to collect $45 million over three seasons, and could potentially earn up to $46.5 million through incentives.

As for Kirk's deal, while the figures remain unconfirmed, some reports indicate that Kirk's deal could run for as much as $17 million per season, a nice haul for the talented wide receiver coming off a strong season as one of Kyler Murray's preferred targets with the Arizona Cardinals.

The finances of Scherff's new deal with the Jaguars have also yet to be reported, though it's expected to be significant given the role he'll play in protecting prized quarterback Trevor Lawrence.

This is just the start of free agency, but it's a clear indication that the Jaguars have plans to spend big and give Trevor Lawrence all the tools to reach his potential and succeed in the NFL. After a rough 2021 season, Doug Pederson is going all-in to improve this squad.
