The NFL Draft is the most exciting segment of the offseason, depending on where one's team is selecting and the talent of the draft class. For the Jacksonville Jaguars, the draft could not come any sooner given they're armed with the No. 1 pick and will almost certainly be drafting Clemson star Trevor Lawrence to help turn the franchise around.

Lawrence is throwing for NFL teams on Friday, so of course the Jaguars are goin to watch him. Jacksonville is so fired up the team dropped a short hype video of Urban Meyer and Co. getting on the plane to go watch Lawrence throw:

Lawrence has long been viewed as the consensus No. 1 pick in the 2021 NFL Draft. The Clemson quarterback is as complete a prospect as any, similar to how evaluators saw Andrew Luck when he was the No. 1 pick in 2012. Lawrence is an intelligent player with great pocket presence and patience. Physically, he is tall and possesses a strong, accurate arm even when throwing deep bombs. He can make passes even in tight windows. Also, he is mobile enough to leave the pocket and hurt defenses with his legs.

Last season, the Jaguars won one game and dropped 15 contests. This pitiful record secured them the first overall pick and also resulted in the hiring of Urban Meyer as head coach, and a talent of Lawrence's caliber can change a franchise's fortune for years to come.

While Jacksonville does not have an impressive roster, they do have tons of cap space. The Jaguars have needs all over the place, but they should prioritize the offensive line, particularly the tackle spot. The Sacksonville Jaguars that almost made the Super Bowl are a distant memory, but getting Lawrence is the first step to being a relevant franchise again and making playoff football the norm.
