In Week 9, the Jacksonville Jaguars made easy work of the lowly Cincinnati Bengals. The struggling Bengals had no answer for the lockdown defense of the Jaguars, and the frustration boiled over with two of the best players on the field resorting to throwing punches.

Jacksonville cornerback Jalen Ramsey was trying to get into the head of one of the best wide receivers in the game in A.J. Green and seemingly succeeded. After a push from Ramsey, Green lost and went after the former Florida State star resulting in both players being ejected.

Surprisingly enough, neither player was suspended for their actions on the field in Week 9, but the jawing hasn't stopped. Ramsey said the following about Green, according to Brian Chojnacki of First Coast News.

The usually calm and cool Green was apologetic for the on-field incident as he admits he let Ramsey get to him in the loss to the Jaguars, via ESPN's Katherine Terrell.

“I shouldn't have reacted that way. I apologize to my teammates, [Bengals owner Mike] Brown and everybody, because that's not who I am. It just got the best of me today,” Green said after the Bengals' 23-7 loss.

It seems as though another classic wideout-corner rivalry is born with no love lost between these two. It'll be interesting to see if there will be more fireworks the next time these two teams go head-to-head.

With the Bengals falling to the Jaguars, Cincinnati is now 3-5 on the season and sitting in third place in the AFC North which appears to be the Pittsburgh Steelers' to lose at this point. The Jaguars, however, are in a close battle with the Tennessee Titans for the AFC South title with both teams with a 5-3 record after Week 9.
