The Jacksonville Jaguars are set to receive a nice boost with star running back Leonard Fournette expected to return to practice on Wednesday, per Phillip Heilman of The Florida Times-Union.

Fournette hasn’t been on the field since injuring his hamstring in the first half of Week 1 against the New York Giants. That injury also kept him out of their AFC Championship rematch against the New England Patriots.

As it turns out, the Jaguars didn’t really even need Fournette as they handily defeated the Patriots, 31-20, at home. With his star running back out, Blake Bortles stepped up and carved the Patriots secondary apart with 377 passing yards and four touchdowns.

Meanwhile, T.J. Yeldon had 58 yards on 10 carries and Corey Grant had six catches for 56 yards in place of Fournette. However, Heilman also notes that Yeldon will not be expected to practice due to an ankle injury.

With Fournette back in practice, he looks in line to make his return to the lineup for the Jaguars' next game against the Tennessee Titans.

Fournette didn't fare too well against the Titans' run defense as a rookie last year. He picked up just 109 yards on 33 carries with one touchdown. Although, he did add 88 receiving yards on just six catches.

To be fair, the entire Jaguars team didn't play particularly well against the Titans, who dealt them two of their five regular-season losses. But if Fournette is able to make his way back, the Jaguars should stand a strong chance of snapping that losing streak at home.
