After breaking his left clavicle Week 1 and undergoing surgery, Jacksonville Jaguars quarterback Nick Foles is “loosely” targeting Week 11 for his return, according to Jeremy Fowler of ESPN.

The injury has around a two to three month healing period, depending on multiple factors.

Foles sustained the injury against the Kansas City Chiefs while throwing a touchdown to wide receiver D.J. Chark in the first quarter. Chiefs defensive lineman Chris Jones fell on his shoulder area. Immediately, the Jaguars took him in for X-rays, shortly after confirming the worst.

After sustaining the injury, Foles said, via the team's official website:

“It’s unfortunate but at the same time I’m going to stay positive and trust the good Lord in this time. Sometimes things don’t happen like we expect them to, but we just have to have faith that it’s for a reason. I’m still grateful I get to be a part of this team. I’ll have surgery tomorrow to get this thing rolling and trust the good Lord for healing and be ready to roll when I am.”

The Jaguars signed Foles to a four-year $88 million deal in free agency to replace the inconsistent Blake Bortles. In the draft, they got his backup in former Washington State Cougar Gardner Minshew (sixth-round). Coming off the bench, the rookie filled in for Foles well, throwing 22 for 25 for 275 yards and a score.

Jacksonville will face the Houston Texans on Sunday, with Minshew as the starter.

After Foles' injury, the team got his backup via a trade for Josh Dobbs with the Pittsburgh Steelers.
