The Jacksonville Jaguars have not been a good football team this season, with the lowly AFC South franchise only winning one game thus far into the 2020 regular season, a victory that came all the way back in Week 1 against the rival Indianapolis Colts.

Adding injury to insult on Sunday afternoon in a loss to the Los Angeles Chargers, the Jaguars lost wide receiver Dede Westbrook to what appeared to be a significant leg injury, per ESPN's Adam Schefter, a setback that will almost certainly sideline the Jacksonville pass-catcher past Week 7.

Westbrook hurt his leg while trying to slow down upon approaching some Chargers defenders late in the second half as this instance can probably be considered to be a non-contact injury.

With the Jaguars once again failing to come away victorious, this time at the hands of the previously one-win Chargers, Jacksonville is near the cellar of AFC ahead of only the winless New York Jets. Both the Cincinnati Bengals and Houston Texans currently spot only one win thus far into the 2020 campaign as well.

With the Jaguars and Texans winning a combined two games with Week 8 now looming, the AFC South has been cut in half as the Tennessee Titans and Indianapolis Colts appear to be legitimate threats in the AFC playoff picture.

The Titans presently sit in first place in the AFC South at a nearly perfect 5-1 with the 4-2 Colts, a team on its bye in Week 7, sitting in second place in the divisional standings. With Westbrook now out of the picture for the Jaguars for the foreseeable future, it will be an even tougher mountain to climb for Jacksonville this year.
