Indianapolis Colts quarterback Philip Rivers had an awful game against the Cleveland Browns in Week 5, prompting some fans of the team to call for head coach Frank Reich to bench him for Jacoby Brissett.

However, Reich said he's sticking with Rivers for the Colts' Week 6 matchup against the Cincinnati Bengals.

“Philip is playing really good football,” Reich said, via 1075 The Fan. “That is the least of my worries. That is the least of my worries. Philip is playing good football. You are going to have mistakes when you get in situations like that.

“I know we would want the interception back, but the safety, like I said, is on me. You take that away and you get that one mistake, in my mind, that was the big factor. [The safety] was not the big factor, but the one big mistake with Philip was the interception. That is it.”

The Colts lost to the Browns in Cleveland by a final score of 32-23. Philip Rivers threw two interceptions and an intentional grounding penalty that resulted in a safety for Cleveland.

Indianapolis is in second place in the AFC South standings with a record of 3-2. Rivers, though, haven't been that good in his first season with the Colts after a stellar run with the Chargers.

Through five games, he has thrown five picks compared to four touchdowns.

Moving forward, Rivers has to do a much better job of protecting the ball. The Colts have one of the best defenses in the NFL, so it would be a shame if the offense in Indianapolis costs the team a shot at the playoffs this season.
