Monster Hunter Rise releases in a few days and hunters everywhere are already gearing up. It's an exciting time for loyal players of the franchise and newcomers to hunting monsters. The latest entry in the Monster Hunter franchise comes out on Switch later this week with a PC version way down the line. MonHun started a cultural movement in Japan that grew into a massive following. Now, loyal followers have just influenced Japan's corporate world. A Japanese video game developer called Mark-on declared an official company holiday so that all its employees can play Monster Hunter Rise during its release. Talk about amazing company benefits.

THE MONSTER HUNTER RISE MOVEMENT

The company's CEO spoke about his declaration of the Monster Hunter Holiday for his employees. He went on to emphasize that the holiday does not extend to the company's executive-level employees. The decision to give the entire company the day off arose when the CEO noticed a lot of the employees had scheduled a vacation day exactly on the game's release date.

Rise's effect on its home court is absolutely apparent but the game will definitely find success in other countries as well. The latest entry to the franchise will have hunters exploring a town hub and maps based on Japanese locations and mythology. Naturally, any self-respecting hunter would want to dedicate a whole bunch of time for the game immediately following its release.

The upcoming release marks the franchise's return to its Nintendo roots after its successful run on the 3DS with MH4U. Hopefully, the launch will further ignite interest for players that started out in the franchise with MH World. Monster Hunter Rise officially launches for the Nintendo Switch on March 26, 2021. Digital preorders have already begun charging future hunters. Additionally, players that opted for a digital preorder begun preloading the game ahead of launch.
