Cleveland Browns wide receiver Jarvis Landry opened up with a flurry of cryptic tweets on Tuesday, seemingly putting his future with the franchise in doubt. Landry spoke about how he played through an injury and sacrificed a lot for the Browns, putting the “ball in their court” when it comes to his future. He also dropped a truth bomb, saying that if they didn't want him, he would do his part to contribute to “winning a championship elsewhere.” Landry should heed his own advice and take after his old teammate and friend on the Los Angeles Rams, Odell Beckham Jr. Beckham was released by Cleveland during the regular season and went on to win a Super Bowl with the Rams. Landry, entering the final year of his contract, can't be released. However, he should follow Beckham's lead and get out of Cleveland via a trade.

Jarvis Landry is a fine wide receiver, one who has racked up two seasons with 100-plus catches and three with over 1,000 receiving yards. Despite making five Pro Bowls, team success has eluded Landry, as he has yet to come close to the Super Bowl since entering the league in 2014. That was eerily similar to his buddy Odell Beckham Jr., who hadn't found much success before coming to Cleveland, but then made his way to the Rams, where he secured a Super Bowl ring.

While the circumstances are a bit different, Landry should do his best to get out of Cleveland. He should request a trade to a contending team in need of another wide receiver, such as the Kansas City Chiefs, Green Bay Packers or Tennessee Titans. Landry could help those teams take their offenses to the next level while also being a part of a competitive team for the first time in his NFL career. It would also make sense for the Browns, who could end up losing Landry in 2023, when he is set to become an unrestricted free agent. Cleveland could attempt to get something for the Pro Bowler now via trade instead of losing him for nothing next offseason.

Landry has had a fine career, but a Super Bowl has been the one thing that has eluded him. The Browns wideout should do everything he can to try to change that by leaving Cleveland, a la Odell Beckham Jr.
