Oklahoma City Thunder point guard Russell Westbrook has been a triple-double machine since the start of the NBA season. Twenty games in, the freakishly athletic 28-year-old is averaging a triple-double for the season with 31.2 points, 10.5 rebounds, and 11.3 assists per game.

One of the biggest fans of his game is Milwaukee Bucks head coach Jason Kidd, who was a triple-double threat himself every time he laced them up during the prime of his career.

While Kidd knows a thing or two about achieving the feat, as he's third all-time with 107 triple-doubles of his own, the former floor general-turned coach said he thinks Westbrook could average a triple-double for a season during a SiriusXM NBA Radio interview.

“Yeah I think he can… and I think he’s the perfect one to do it,” Kidd said.

Kidd explained that the most impressive thing about Westbrook's triple-double antics early into this season is that his team is 7-2 when he gets one, adding that it's hard to win when racking up big numbers the way he often does.

The Thunder lost two of their three top scorers from last season in Kevin Durant and Serge Ibaka, and while Westbrook is shooting below 40 percent in the last five games, his team is 4-1 in the process, including 4-0 to match his four consecutive triple-doubles.

The rampaging point guard isn't taking shots away from other players as much as he is doing everything humanly possible to win games, which has reflected in a massive 30.13 player efficiency rating.

While he does have pieces around him that can score, none of them are proven scorers that can take over a game, pinning most of the responsibility squarely on his shoulders to make things happen.

Thunder head coach Billy Donovan has taken the leash off of Westbrook since he re-signed with the team and the beast is loose. Only time will tell if he can keep up this monstrous pace for 62 more games, but as long as the Thunder are in the hunt for a playoff spot, it's sure to say Westbrook will keep playing out of his mind as long as his body allows him to do so.
