The Utah Jazz will be without marksman Joe Johnson for at least a couple of more weeks, according to Eric Wooyard of The Deseret NewsIso Joe consulted with a hand specialist and is expected to be re-evaluated in two weeks to assess his progress.

The Jazz have been mired with injuries, including one to Dante Exum and most recently to cornerstone talent Rudy Gobert, who is out from four-to-six weeks while big man Derrick Favors handles the load in his place.

Johnson's injury has in a way been a blessing in disguise, allowing for more time for rookie Donovan Mitchell, as he's slated to make his third start this season for the Jazz with Rodney Hood coming off the bench and rotating between the shooting guard and small forward spots within the second unit.

The 6-foot-8 sharpshooter is still unable to use his right wrist and was seen during warmups shooting left-handed — an obvious case that his progress isn't anywhere near where fans would like it to be before his impending return.
