Receiver Breshad Perriman was a notable signing for the New York Jets this offseason in free agency, so it was bit concerning that he missed a majority of training camp due to a knee injury.

Not only was his absence costing him time to work on his chemistry with his team, but also with quarterback Sam Darnold. Nevertheless, Perriman has finally returned to practice and is ready to go for Week 1.

During his press conference on Thursday, he told reporters that he his now 100 percent healthy and is not even thinking about his knee anymore.

“I’m back. I’m not thinking about my knee at all. I’m back 100 percent,” Perriman said, via Ralph Vacchiano of SNY.

It's worth noting that the new Jets' acquisition does have a history with knee injuries. During his time with the Baltimore Ravens, Perriman missed numerous games due to multiple knee injuries. However, when healthy, Perriman has proven that he can be a reliable receiver. This past season with the Tampa Bay Buccaneers, Perriman caught 36 passes for 645 yards and 6 touchdowns in 14 games.

The New York Jets lost one of their top receiver in Robby Anderson during free agency, so they'll be hoping Perriman can make up for some of that loss.

The  Jets are set to play their first regular season game on Sept 13. against the Buffalo Bills. Since Denzel Mims and Perriman are fully healthy and back into the lineup, Darnold will have his top two weapons to work with for the first game of the season.
