Sam Darnold is back, and he is dicing up the Dallas Cowboys defense. The New York Jets entered halftime with a decisive 21-6 lead over the ‘Boys, with their last scoring coming on a Darnold-thrown touchdown to tight end Ryan Griffin.

Griffin ran an angle route to present himself right in front of the Cowboys secondary. Darnold, making a quick-read, found the tight end for an easy touchdown, his second of the afternoon.

At halftime, the second-year quarterback has gone 13 for 18 for 218 yards and two touchdowns, while taking just one sack for five yards. One of his touchdowns came on a 92-yard score to wide receiver Robby Anderson, which is the longest of the 2019 season.

Griffin, on the other hand, has caught three Darnold-thrown passes for 28 yards and the score.

Darnold and Co. are looking to get their first win of the 2019 season against the 3-2 Cowboys.
