The New York Jets are about to enter Year 2 of the Zach Wilson experience.

While Wilson had a rather up and down rookie campaign, the Jets want to make sure he gets a fair shake to show what he can do.

The Jets picked up two solid tight ends in C.J. Uzomah and Tyler Conklin while also remaining active on the trade market, previously being tied to Tyreek Hill and more recently to disgruntled dual-threat Deebo Samuel. Armed with several early picks in the coming NFL Draft, the expectation is they'll shore up on high-end receivers as well.

Nobody benefits from these moves, potential ones or actual, than Zach Wilson. The Jets QB spoke out on what the moves signaled to him while also guaranteeing he'll work to be worth the investment.

Via Pro Football Talk:

“I appreciate their confidence in me, and I think they understand that quarterback efficiency in this league, overall, not even just in my standpoint, it’s how you win games, it’s how you be explosive on offense,” Wilson said. “So, I need to do my part, I need to get better, I need to let the guys around me make the plays that they were brought in for. I’m excited that we’re in that process of building it together and we all get to kind of ride the wave together as well.”

The Jets are betting on their second-year QB to take a leap this season. Zach Wilson is up for the challenge.
