Francis Ngannou is set to take on Ciryl Gane in the main event of UFC 270. It has been confirmed that Kamaru Usman will be in his corner for the huge title fight.

The UFC welterweight champion was asked about the upcoming fight by MMAJunkie. Kamaru Usman explained what he's seeing out of Francis Ngannou heading into the fight.

“I’m seeing a stone-cold killer,” Usman told MMA Junkie on Friday. “This is how Francis is every fight. It’s something very, very rare when you have a guy this big. Whenever Francis Ngannou walks into a room, everyone knows Francis Ngannou is in the room. I see him he’s calm and he’s ready to step in there.”

Kamaru Usman was asked about the fight and who he had winning it. The UFC champion is obviously in Francis Ngannou's corner so he may not be the most unbiased source.

The UFC welterweight champion knows how to navigate the media and not let himself get caught making predictions. Kamaru Usman made sure to be careful with the way he saw the fight going.

“I think both guys are very prepared,” Usman said. “I think both guys are ready to be the champion, so the best man will prevail”
