Despite only being very fresh in his role, new Indiana Pacers president of basketball operations Kevin Pritchard has already been asked about his plans on retaining the services of their franchise player, Paul George. It's been no secret that the four-time All-Star forward is slated to become a free agent after next season, and may leave Indianapolis if they cannot surround him with more talent.

During his press conference, Pritchard discussed how his exit interview with him went. He sounded optimistic that they will be able to re-sign George, as he apparently talked about “wanting to stay in every scenario”. The front office executive added that one thing George repeatedly said was wanting to win, which he also believes is the goal of the organization, after already adding Lance Stephenson to their fold before the playoffs started.

With his skill set and ability to take over games, it can be expected that the 26-year-old Fresno State product will generate a lot of interest from a number of NBA teams once he explores free agency. However, based on what Pritchard said, it gives the Indianapolis faithful a reason to believe that if more talent is brought in to the team, they have a big chance of still seeing George in a Pacers uniform.

Although where he'll end up in the future is still up in the air, the team's fans can have something to hold onto knowing that Pritchard sounds confident and knows what's needed to keep him.
