Kings center Dewayne Dedmon’s days in Sacramento could be numbered as the Feb. 6 trade deadline draws near, but there might be a chance for the two sides to salvage their relationship.

A league source told The Sacramento Bee the Kings are open to reconciliation with Dedmon, who requested a trade in late December. The NBA fined Dedmon $50,000 after he went public with his trade demand in an interview with The Bee.

Dedmon has appeared in 30 games for the Kings this season. He’s averaging 5.1 points and 4.4 rebounds while shooting 41.0 percent from the field, 21.3 percent from beyond the arc and 80.8 percent from the free-throw line.

The Kings are 16-29 on the season and in 13th place in the Western Conference standings.

Sacramento acquired Kent Bazemore and Anthony Tolliver from the Portland Trail Blazers in exchange for Trevor Ariza, Wenyen Gabriel and Caleb Swanigan.

The trade deadline is on Feb. 6, so it will be interesting to see what the Kings do with Dedmon, who has career averages of 6.4 points, 5.9 rebounds and 0.7 assists in 380 games.
