There was a bit of angst running through the Georgia Bulldogs fanbase when it was announced right before kickoff of the Arkansas game that starting quarterback JT Daniels would be out with a lat injury.

It ended up not mattering as Georgia stomped on the Razorbacks 37-0 in what was a top 10 battle. Next up, a top 25 matchup against Auburn. Per USA Today, Kirby Smart is hoping to see Daniels back throughout the week at practice.

“He’s doing everything but throwing, and then we will see how it goes day to day. The biggest thing is that he has to rest, recover, and try to heal. We are very hopeful that he will be able to go Tuesday-Wednesday and be able to throw like last week, but he’s not going to do much today in terms of throwing. There is a lot more to quarterback than just throwing the ball. He does a lot of that stuff well and he will do all of those things today.”

Stetson Bennett filled in last week at QB1 for Georgia as they cruised to a victory against Arkansas. Bennett was up-and-down with his performance but the Bulldogs didn't need him to be spectacular as they ran it down the throats of Arkansas all afternoon.

As the schedule starts to heat up for Georgia, they will hope to have their signal caller in Daniels back. The Bulldogs look the part of a national championship squad but those dreams would take a hit if Daniels misses any significant time.
