New York Knicks big man Enes Kanter has a very unique way of describing life in the NBA. For the 26-year-old, playing in the league is pretty much the exact same thing as being part of the world of pro wrestling.

Speaking to Mike Vorkonov of The Athletic, the 6-foot-11 center explained why in his mind, the similarities between the NBA and the WWE are almost inseparable.

“That world is like my world — talking trash, get in people’s head, it’s the show, people, fans cheering, applause,” he said. “It’s my world. I love this thing.”

That's one way of looking at it, I guess. Come to think of it though, Kanter does make a lot of sense. Sometimes, all the drama in the NBA makes it feel like we're all watching a WWE storyline unfold right before our eyes.

Kanter went on to explain how the fake tough guy act and the non-existence of “real fights” in professional wrestling is practically what goes on in the NBA today.

“There’s a lot of similarities because the NBA, like 95 percent of it, people are not going to fight,” Kanter said. “People are going to come in and just break up — there’s only a few fights with people throwing punches, especially now with all the money people are losing they’re not going to throw a punch. I think it’s all about, ‘Ugh, I’m a tough guy.’ It’s all about show.”

Well, that's definitely true. Very rarely do we see altercations escalate to a level wherein punches are thrown. And that's a good thing, right?

One thing is clear, though. If there were anybody in the league right now that would fit right in in the WWE, then it has to be Kanter. In fact, this would be an excellent post-NBA career path for the big man.
