Knicks point guard Frank Ntilikina has heard his name tossed about in various trade rumors, but the Belgian-born ball handler says he feels at home in New York.

Ntilikina joined the Knicks at the young age of 18, selected with the 8th overall pick in the 2017 NBA Draft. All of a sudden, he was in a new country, playing for one of its biggest sports franchises. He admits that there were difficulties adjusting to his surroundings in the beginning. Now, though, he's become comfortable in The Big Apple.

“As a man you’re going to work, but you’re still dealing with a lot of stuff in life and being a foreigner,” Ntilikina said, via The Athletic. “You’re coming into a new country and being young so you gotta get used to a lot of stuff in basketball but also in life, like being in another country, speaking another language 100 percent of the time.

“It feels like I’m all set now,” Ntilikina added. “I feel like New York is home for me, the United States are home for me. I feel good in New York. I feel more comfortable. I feel it goes together, when you feel more comfortable outside you feel more comfortable on the court and at work.”

The Knicks (7-21 overall) have struggled to find a rhythm this season, and Ntilikina is continuing to develop as an NBA player. He's played 26 games this season (22 starts), racking up averages of 6.0 points on 38.3 percent shooting from the field (33.8 percent from beyond the arc), 3.1 assists, 2.1 rebounds and 1.3 steals in 24.3 minutes per outing.

The fact that Ntilikina feels comfortable in New York is great news for the Knicks, as they will likely need his services moving forward. At 21 years of age, he still has a lot of room to grow.
