The surprising New York Knicks have been plagued by key injuries to their frontcourt as of late. Needless to say, it is largely the reason why they are currently in the midst of a two-game losing streak heading into tonight's matchup versus the Portland Trail Blazers.

The Knicks announced on Twitter that head coach Jeff Hornacek says center Enes Kanter has been ruled out with a back injury, however, they will be getting a much-needed boost with the return of budding superstar Kristaps Porzingis:

According to ESPN's Ian Begley, Hornacek also added that center Joakim Noah will be active tonight for the first time in the 2017-18 NBA season:

The return of “The Unicorn” will undoubtedly help the Knicks get back in the win column. His absence was felt heavily in the loss to the high-powered Rockets after New York mustered up only 13 points in the third quarter. However, it did give forward Michael Beasley an opportunity to show off his scoring prowess with Porzingis out.

Meanwhile, the absence of Kanter could mean Noah may potentially get to see some immediate action. Although Noah himself has admitted that he is likely not the player he once was, he could bring some stability and toughness down low for the time being.
