While everyone is getting so high on New York Knicks forward Michael Beasley’s huge night at Madison Square Garden on Thursday, it shouldn’t be forgotten that before Beasley erupted for 28 points in the second half, he had a Shaqtin’ a Fool moment in the second quarter of the game against the Boston Celtics.

While trying to complete a pick-and-roll play, Beasley passed the ball directly to the Celtics’ bench, particularly to Marcus Morris.

Morris wasn’t in uniform, as he’s still nursing a knee injury, and he’s not even playing for the Knicks, making Michael Beasley’s error a whole lot more comical. Knicks head coach Jeff Hornacek surely didn’t find that one funny, but Beasley made up for his turnover in a big way, finishing with a career-high 32 points to go with 12 boards to help the Knicks defeat the Celtics, 102-93.

And it’s not like Beasley has been known to be a passer. He is averaging just 1.2 assists per game in his NBA career and only 1.0 this season, so let’s cut the 28-year-old forward some slack.

Michael Beasley and the Knicks hit the road following their conquest of Boston, as they will be in Detroit Friday looking to get back-to-back wins.
