Forget the shooting slump Toronto Raptors point guard Kyle Lowry was mired with in last season's playoffs — new season, new man.

The Villanova alum is scoring at a 20.8 points per game clip while shooting an incandescent 42.9 percent from deep, making three three-pointers per game.

The most impressive thing, perhaps, has been Lowry's efficiency during the past seven games, making 32 of 51 shots from downtown. The 6-foot point guard is a sure-shot from straight-on and the corners, amassing a ridiculous 16-of-18 from those areas.

Lowry initially saw a major improvement in his shot last season, as he slimmed down 20 pounds and shot a career-high 38.8 percent from beyond the arc — if he keeps up anywhere close to this pace, it could be enough to land him in next year's Three-Point Shootout for the second consecutive year.

During this torrid streak, only Eric Gordon of the Houston Rockets (4.9) is making more three-pointers than Lowry's 4.6 per game mark, although he's taking 2.4 more shots.

Percentage-wise, Lowry is shooting an unconscious 62.7 percent, which is 12.7 percentage points higher than any players taking two or more per game.

Lowry is on pace to blow his career-best numbers from the 2015-16 campaign out of the water, making 67 threes for the season, good for fourth place, while being eighth in attempts (156), and 13th in percentage 22 games into the regular season.
