Anthony Davis put up an impressive 16-point, 13-rebound double-double on Sunday as the Los Angeles Lakers logged back-to-back wins at the expense of the Houston Rockets. It was an all-around effort from the entire squad, but in his mind, AD believes there was one key factor that led to the W.

According to Davis, it all boiled down to the Lakers properly communication on the floor:

“Our communication was good tonight. Our schemes, we followed our game plan to a T tonight. Held a team to 85 points. Besides the last quarter, we did a really, really good job,” Davis said, via the Los Angeles Times' Dan Woike. “… So we were just able to work as a unit, do what we were supposed to do. But our defensive communication was very on point tonight, which helped us in a lot of our coverages where you can have some struggles.”

The Lakers held their opponents to just 15 points in the first quarter, followed by a 20-point period for the Rockets in the second quarter. Davis and Co. showcased their defensive chops against a young and inexperienced Houston side, and it resulted in LA's fourth win of the campaign.

As Davis noted, however, the Lakers nearly faltered yet again after they allowed the Rockets to get close in the final frame. Houston outscored LA 31-20 in the fourth quarter, but the Lakers were able to hold on to win, 95-85.

At this point, it is clear that it's anything but smooth sailing for LA.
