Los Angeles Lakers superstar Anthony Davis still can’t help but marvel at what his teammate LeBron James can do on the basketball court at 35 years old.

Although The Brow has had a front row seat in witnessing James’ brilliance in their first year together with the Lakers, Davis bared what impresses him the most about his fellow superstar.

Per Ben Golliver of The Washington Post:

“He’s drinking from the fountain of youth. The things he’s able to do on the floor still, his head still touching the rim, still taking the big shots, still playing physical,” Anthony Davis said of LeBron James after the Lakers' 112-102 win over the Houston Rockets in Game 3 of their West semis series on Tuesday.

Following a Game 1 defeat to the trigger-happy Rockets, LeBron came up with back-to-back masterful performances for the Lakers to regain control of the series. The four-time NBA MVP torched Houston defenders to a tune of 36 points, seven rebounds, five assists, four blocks and one steal in 38 minutes. There's not a lot of 35-year-olds who can still put up that kind of stat line in a pressure-packed playoff game.

The Rockets were simply at James' mercy for the entire game, as they were unable to contain his inside-outside attack. The 16-time All-Star made 13 of his 23 field goals and went 4-of-9 from distance.

Davis, meanwhile, also had quite the strong showing for the Purple and Gold on Tuesday. The 6-foot-10 forward recorded a double-double of 26 points and 15 boards to go along with six dimes and one steal in 39 minutes.

The James-Davis duo is certainly the most fearsome one-two punch in the league this year. Lakers fans haven't seen this kind of two-man connection since the glorious Shaq-Kobe days in the early 2000s.
