The Los Angeles Lakers are well-represented in the 2018 Rising Stars Challenge with Brandon Ingram and Kyle Kuzma selected to play for the exhibition match. Ingram will be playing in his second consecutive game after also being chosen to play last year.

During media availability, Ingram admitted to having bad eating habits last year since he was a rookie, after all.

At 6-foot-9 but only weighing 191 pounds, Ingram can get away with anything he puts in his mouth.

Along with former Lakers Jordan Farmar and D’Angelo Russell, Ingram is just the third player in franchise history to play in the Rising Stars Challenge multiple times.

In his first game competing at the Challenge last year, Brandon Ingram posted four points, three rebounds, and a steal. This year, look for him to increase those numbers even after coming off of back-to-back games with the Lakers the past two nights.

As noted by NBA.com’s Joey Ramirez, Ingram looks ready to play as many minutes as he can.

“I’m gonna go as long as my body can take after these back-to-backs,” Ingram said. “I’m gonna definitely put up a lot of shots tonight. I’ll live with the results.”

After Kuzma led the team for much of this season, Ingram has taken over leading the team in scoring at 16.2 points per game. In his last five games alone, he is averaging 21.0 points on 57.1 percent shooting from the field and 64.3 percent from three-point range and adding 4.8 assists per game.

He has had to play point forward for the Lakers of late with the loss of rookie Lonzo Ball to injury and Jordan Clarkson to a trade with the Cleveland Cavaliers last week. The second overall pick in the 2016 NBA Draft has responded well to the challenge, showcasing his versatility the last few games.
