Brandon Ingram is having an up-and-down year for the Los Angeles Lakers. He is currently averaging 16.0 points, 3.3 assists, and 5.6 rebounds per game, but he is shooting an abysmal 44 percent from the field and 31 percent from deep. The Lakers have also been one of the worst teams in the NBA, currently last in the Western Conference with an 11-27 record. The recent stretch of losing seems to have taken a toll on the entire Lakers organization, mainly because of their recent team meeting to address the faults of the team.

According to Ryan Ward of ClutchPoints, Ingram has specifically been affected by the Lakers' failure to win.

“It's kind of depressing because we think we're a better team than last year. We know we can be better every single night, but we also know it's a process. Everything is not going to be good all the time.”

The Lakers could point to a few excuses as to why their season has been riddled with losses. The biggest excuse could be the absence of Lonzo Ball, who was out with a shoulder injury in December. Though, even in Ball's return against the Charlotte Hornets on Friday, the Lakers lost 108-94, with Ball scoring 11 points and grabbing five assists in 27 minutes.

The Lakers have won one of their last ten games, and they are in their worst losing stretch of the season. While Ingram is disappointed with the Lakers' demoralizing start to the season, he does point out that winning is a process. Hopefully, Ingram can help the Lakers turn things around with a win against the Atlanta Hawks on Sunday night.
