The Los Angeles Lakers have become legitimate championship contenders. They have acquired Anthony Davis in a blockbuster trade last month, and have signed decent veterans before and after losing on the Kawhi Leonard sweepstakes.

Although there are certainly a lot of question marks surrounding this team, there is no doubt that they have the potential to be one of the best teams next season.

In fact, NBA analyst Chris Broussard believes that they are the second-best team in the NBA right now.

Broussard predicted that the Lakers will win between 54-56 games next season, but also pointed out some of the things that could make or break the Purple and Gold's chances of competing for a championship.

One of the biggest concerns about the Lakers next season is their ability to stay healthy. LeBron James is heading into his 17th season and is coming off the first major injury if his career. Anthony Davis has only played at least 70 games twice in his seven years in the league. DeMarcus Cousins just had two major injuries in a span of two and a half years. Avery Bradley, Rajon Rondo, and a lot of other guys on the roster had been sidelined for a significant amount of time last season due to injuries.

So, basically, if one of the Lakers' stars get hurt, this could have a major impact on their performance next season.

Also, with a new coach and a lot of new players, will the team be able to build chemistry early in the regular season? Will all of them be willing to accept roles that will benefit the team? If they all buy into the system, the team will be really good. If they don't, fans could see drama unfold in the middle of the season, which will not be a good thing.

There is no doubt that the Lakers have talent, but will can all of them co-exist?

These questions will be answered next season.
