The Los Angeles Lakers have a big game against the rival Los Angeles Clippers tonight, and the Lakers got a big update on D'Angelo Russell, who was upgraded to questionable with a tailbone contusion for the game, according to Dave McMenamin of ESPN.

D'Angelo Russell has missed the last three games for the Lakers with a bruised tailbone, so it seems he might be able to go for tonight against the Clippers.

The Lakers have struggled mightily since taking the in-season tournament title, and they currently sit at 17-19 on the season. They are in a familiar place compared to last season, when they were on the outside of the play-in tournament spots. The good thing is this team has experience with turning it around and making the play-in, to then go on a run in the playoffs to make the conference finals.

The injuries as of late have hampered the Lakers, but it will take the group playing well together to turn things around as well. A win against a Clippers team that has been one of the best in the league since acquiring James Harden would give hope to Lakers fans that the season could be turned around.

It will be interesting to see if Russell does play tonight after being upgraded to questionable on the injury report. He could be a boost for a team that needs all of the help that it can get. After tonight against the Clippers, the Lakers will face the Toronto Raptors at home on Tuesday.
