Gonzaga Bulldogs star Jalen Suggs just hit the biggest shot of his career thus far as he lifted his team to a last-gasp Finals berth in the NCAA tournament. After the game, the 19-year-old point guard admitted that he always wanted to run to the top of the scorer's table and emulate the iconic celebration popularized by Kobe Bryant and Miami Heat icon Dwyane Wade. He did exactly that after sinking the cold-blooded buzzer-beater.

The late Los Angeles Lakers legend first did the celebration after he led the Purple and Gold to a Game 7 victory over the Boston Celtics back in the 2010 NBA Finals. Meanwhile, Wade also famously stood on top of the scorer's table when he hit a half-court buzzer-beater against the Chicago Bulls back in the 2008-09 season. He did it once more when he played his last home game with the Miami Heat against the Philadelphia 76ers back in the 2018-19 season.

On Saturday night, the Bulldogs were faced with heavy opposition as the No. 11 seeded UCLA Bruins refused to go down without a fight. Head coach Mick Cronin and his men even extended the tilt to the overtime period where the two teams gutted it out until the final seconds of the game.

Coming from an inbounds pass, Suggs dribbled the ball to the length of the floor and heaved a shot from near half-court to beat the buzzer. With the shot hitting the backboard and finding the bottom of the net, the Bulldogs ran away with a 93-90 victory to secure a seat in the Finals.

Suggs notched 16 points, five rebounds, and six assists while Drew Timme added 25 points, four rebounds, and two assists for the Bulldogs. With the exhilarating win, the team will march to the championship game against another top-ranked team in the Baylor Bears on Monday night.

Already on the brink of making history, Jalen Suggs and the Bulldogs are looking forward to having another celebration if they can successfully win the national title and end their season with a perfect 32-0 record.
