Anthony Davis' epic game-winner for the Los Angeles Lakers on Sunday brought back some painful memories for the Sacramento Kings. No, they weren't on the receiving end of Davis' buzzer-beater, but it definitely brought back all the pain from nearly two decades ago.

The Kings tweeted this right after Davis' heroics:

The Nuggets' Twitter account sadly replied:

For those needing context, here's exactly why the Kings were feeling a bit of déjà vu after Davis sank the Denver Nuggets in Game 2 of the Western Conference Finals on Sunday:

The Kings reacted to this tweet with a hilarious meme — for non Sacramento supporters, of course:

You've probably seen the Davis game-winner more than a few times by now, so for a bit of a change of pace, here's a look at that unforgettable game-winner courtesy of Lakers legend Robert “Big Shot Bob” Horry:

Imagine if AD made that shot in Staples Center. It would have brought down the house for sure.

Davis is playing in just his first season with the Purple & Gold, but he's already emerging as one of the best to ever don the Lakers uniform. Well, that may be a bit of an exaggeration at this point, but his game-winner on Sunday definitely helps his case.

The Lakers still have a long way to go this season, though, but there's no denying that they are in a prime position to win the title for the first time in 10 years. Achieving this feat would surely cement Davis' place in Lakers franchise history.
