LaVar Ball always has something slick to say, and today, he claimed that LeBron James wouldn't win a championship if his son Lonzo was traded from the Los Angeles Lakers.
Perhaps LaVar Ball is upset about the fact that his son is part of a package deal that includes Kyle Kuzma, Brandon Ingram, and Ivica Zubac. The Lakers brass is offering all four of those players to the New Orleans Pelicans in exchange for Anthony Davis.
LaVar went on to say that the Lakers doing this is a “huge” mistake. He claims that the team is trying to become a “one-hit quitter” to try to get a ring, and this is a bad move on their part.
Additionally, he said that if his son does get traded out to the Pelicans, he'll “sit out” the games in protest of the trade. (This, perhaps, is the biggest appeal of the trade of all.)
He concluded by saying that if Lonzo gets traded out, the Lakers would “never” win a ring.
While this seems like a bit much, it's not the first time LaVar Ball has gone off on a sports team simply because he didn't agree with what they were doing.
According to TMZ Sports, LaVar reportedly went on a tirade against Luke Walton on an Arizona radio station last week, calling him “the worst coach ever” for his son.
It should be interesting to see if there's any place that's any good for LaVar Ball and his precious sons, who are proving to be more trouble than they're even worth.
