LeBron James and Anthony Davis led the way for the Los Angeles Lakers on Friday, as they took down the Miami Heat, 124-114, in Game 2 of the NBA Finals.

The pair combined for 65 markers, and at this point, there's no denying that the two have become reminiscent of the dominance exhibited by the Shaquille O'Neal and Kobe Bryant pairing in L.A. many years ago.

In his postgame interview, however, LeBron himself expressed his belief that the Shaq-Kobe duo remains to be the greatest of all time:

LeBron James was still a young teenager when he witnessed Shaq and Kobe dominate the league during the early 2000s, which resulted in three consecutive championships for the franchise. Unfortunately, the two superstars did not exactly see eye to eye as Lakers teammates, and it wasn't before long that they had to part ways.

As of the moment, LeBron and Davis have emerged as the latest iteration of a dynamic duo for the Lakers. This was on full display on Friday, as they both had their way against a Heat defense that pretty much looked like they had no answer for either player.

LeBron, Davis and the rest of the Lakers will look to carry on with their dominance now that they are just two wins away from the title.

Fans can be sure, however, that Miami will not go down without a fight. There's just no quit against this Heat side, and while they may be down, they're certainly not out.
