To say that 2020 has been tough for humanity would really be an understatement. While LeBron James also faced some challenging times this past year, he did lead the Lakers to banner no.17 after conquering the unprecedented bubble inside Walt Disney World. Judging by his latest social media post looks like protecting that throne is the only thing on his mind right now. LeBron and the Lakers, meanwhile, have looked good so far in their redemption bid going 3-2 in their first five games of the 2020-21 campaign.

The Purple and Gold came out as victors in their final game of 2020, defeating the San Antonio Spurs, 121-107, during LeBron's special day at AT&T Center. The Lakers brass even made sure to greet James much earlier, considering he'll be spending his birthday on the road.

The 4-time MVP did not look like your typical 36-year-old against the Spurs, dropping 26 points, eight rebounds, and five assists for the Lakers.

LeBron James, meanwhile, is already considered one of the best players to ever do it, even as he continues to mystify us with his greatness in his 18th season. It's absolutely terrifying for the rest of the NBA how he continues to find motivation year in and year out with the Lakers. Watch out 2021, The King is certainly ready for you.
