Los Angeles Lakers star LeBron James appears to have been working on embellishment during the NBA hiatus.

James humorously appeared to flop after making contact with Dallas Mavericks big man Maxi Kleber during Thursday's exhibition between the Lakers and Mavs.

LeBron appears to actually initiate the contact, but of course, that is often how “King James” and guys like James Harden are able to sell calls.

James is hardly a novice at flopping. Indeed, he developed a nickname as “LeFlop James” during his villain days with the Miami Heat. The nickname is even listed on Urban Dictionary.

It is safe to say LeBron could probably care less. If he can sell a call here or there in an effort to help the Lakers win a title, he will likely do just that.

The Lakers are indeed one of the favorites to win it all once play officially resumes a week from Friday.

James and Co. were one of the hottest teams in the NBA prior to the suspension of play in March, with LeBron, in particular, playing at an MVP level.

Of course, nearly four months off can change things quite a bit. Additionally, the Lakers face the challenge of replacing Avery Bradley in the rotation after he opted out of the restart last month. Rajon Rondo also suffered a fractured thumb, and will be out.

Los Angeles signed J.R. Smith to add backcourt depth, but Alex Caruso figures to eat up the majority of the minutes as the Lakers look for some semblance of continuity.

Meanwhile, LeBron appears to be in midseason form when it comes to flopping. The Lakers will hope his actual game is in midseason form, as well.
