The NBA preseason is only days away for the Los Angeles Lakers with LeBron James and company preparing for the six games set to be played before Oct. 18's regular-season opener.

Leading up to the first game of the preseason for the Lakers, the team is going through two-a-day practices in training camp at the team's facility in El Segundo. The revamped roster will try to build some chemistry while learning Luke Walton's system in anticipation for what could be a season in which the franchise finally turns things around.

On Wednesday, James was asked about how much he may play during the preseason after suffering an injury in training camp with the Cleveland Cavaliers at this time last year. The three-time champion doesn't think he'll be on the floor much.

“I have no idea,” James said after practice. “I'll talk with Luke. I'm not going to play a bunch of minutes. I'm okay.”

Although is still in his early 30's at 33, the superstar forward has a lot of miles on his body and could be watching from the bench for the majority of the preseason. The Lakers will play six games before taking on the Portland Trail Blazers in the season opener on the Oct. 18.

Along with facing the Denver Nuggets on Sept. 30 in San Diego, the Lakers will also take on Golden State Warriors, Sacramento Kings, and L.A. Clippers during the preseason. Los Angeles will go head-to-head with the defending NBA champions and the Nuggets twice.
