Another day, another record for LeBron James. After scoring his sixth point in Game 5 on Friday night, the Los Angeles Lakers superstar forward joined Jerry West as the only players in NBA Finals history to reach 1,500 points.

LeBron reached the milestone with his third bucket of the game early in the opening quarter. The four-time MVP started Game 5 with a clear sense of urgency, being extra aggressive on offense by posting up and finding seams in the Heat defense.

At halftime, LBJ recorded a game-high 21 points on 9-of-11 shooting from the field — including 3-of-4 from 3-point range. He also tallied four rebounds, three assists, and a steal in an almost no-relief job with the Lakers. The Heat, however, carried a four-point edge into the break, 60-56.

LeBron is still a little over a hundred points away from surpassing West for the most points in the NBA Finals. The Logo collected 1,679 markers in his nine trips to the Last Dance.

Prior to Game 5, the 35-year-old LeBron, who's also looking to win his third NBA Finals MVP trophy, averaged a near triple-double of 27. 8 points, 11.0 rebounds, and 8.5 assists for the Lakers. He was also shooting 53.8 percent from the field.

The King recently said he lets his game do the trash talking. So far in the NBA Finals, that's exactly what he has done.
