During his media session on Thursday ahead of Game 5 of the 2020 NBA Finals against the Miami Heat, Los Angeles Lakers superstar LeBron James was asked to talk about what he has learned about Lakers fans in his first two years with the club.

James, one of the best players in NBA history, said he's learned that Lakers fans don't care what you've accomplished on other teams once you join the Purple and Gold, according to Harrison Faigen of SB Nation's Silver Screen and Roll. Until you've had success as a Laker, it doesn't matter.

LeBron James is one win away from winning his fourth title and first with the Lakers. To recall, when LeBron first signed with Los Angeles in the summer of 2018, there were many Lakers fans who didn't fully embrace The King at first. Some fans even vandalized a James mural in Los Angeles.

However, Lakers fans have jumped on the James bandwagon this season since the team racked up the best record in the Western Conference during the regular season and the four-time MVP has the franchise one win away from its 17th title.

Game 5 of the Finals is set for Friday. While the Heat have put up a good fight in the last two games, the Lakers will be favored to win Game 5 as they don their Black Mamba jerseys. James and Co. haven't lost in their Kobe Bryant-inspired jerseys in the bubble.

If James is able to win Finals MVP against the Heat, he'll become the first player in NBA history to capture three titles and three Finals MVPs with three different teams.
