The Los Angeles Lakers came up short of beating the Miami Heat in a rematch of last year's NBA Finals on Saturday following a last-second miss from Alex Caruso.

After the game, LeBron James shared what he didn't like about Caruso's potential game-tying shot:

“I think the only bad thing about it is that he shot a long 2,” James said of Caruso's 22-foot shot that hit the front rim at the buzzer, via ESPN's Dave McMenamin. “I wish he would have shot a 3 and, make or miss, I'll live with that.”

Throughout Saturday's game, the Lakers found themselves behind for the majority of the contest against the Heat. However, in the fourth quarter, Los Angeles made a late surge, crawling back within two with under 10 seconds remaining in the game.

Then, a clutch steal by James bounced into the hands of Caruso with time winding down. After Caruso gave the ball to James, James kicked it back out to Caruso to shoot a shot from the right side of the floor, but the ball fell short as it hit the front side of the rim:

Some people have questioned whether or not James should have taken the shot himself despite two defenders converging on him immediately. The superstar forward, as he typically does, made the right play by hitting one of his teammates, who had a better shot than he did.

While James isn't content with the loss, he would've felt better about the final possession if Caruso had gone for the win instead of a tie.
