Los Angeles Lakers superstar LeBron James says he is going to watch the 2019 playoffs.

A lot of times, you hear athletes say they won't watch the postseason of their sport if they're not playing in it because it's too hard for them.

That won't be the case for James, who says he loves basketball too much to not watch the playoffs. The Lakers are missing the postseason this year. It will be the first time LeBron won't be playing in the playoffs since his second season in the NBA during his first stint with the Cleveland Cavaliers.

“I'm not the guy to be like since I'm not in the playoffs I'm not watching the playoffs,” James told Allie Clifton of Spectrum Sports Net. “I love basketball too much. Like, I watch all basketball. I will be watching the playoffs and I wanna see what teams and what players does well.”

It's definitely going to be tough for the Lakers star to not play in the postseason, but James is such a student of the game and he wants to see what teams and players are doing well, and not doing well, in this year's playoffs.

You can bet LeBron will be motivated while he's watching the playoffs from home to get the Lakers there next season.
