Los Angeles Lakers head coach Luke Walton says the team will be following LeBron James' lead all season. James is not only the best player in the game, but he's also the oldest player on the Lakers at 33 years old.

The Lakers' young core of Lonzo Ball, Brandon Ingram, Kyle Kuzma, and Josh Hart has an average age of 21. Meanwhile, all of James, Rajon Rondo, Lance Stephenson, Michael Beasley, JaVale McGee, and Kentavious Caldwell-Pope have playoff experience. Most of the players outside of the aforementioned five players with playoff games under their belt look up to James and understand his work ethic and demand for excellence that is unmatched.

There's also the salient point that if James has an issue with any player on the roster, or sees someone goofing around in practice, that player will probably be traded. James is essentially a player/general manager at this point in his career. Whether he admits it or not, LeBron absolutely has a say on roster decisions.

The Lakers have been a walking disaster over the past few seasons. From the D'Angelo Russell-Nick Young phone saga to Carlos Boozer and Jeremy Lin celebrating a win in front of cameras after losing a bunch of games in a row, the Lakers franchise has been a laughing stock lately. One of the reasons LeBron James said he signed with LA is because he wants to bring the organization back to prominence. Building healthy habits in practice is the first step to turning around the team.
