The Los Angeles Lakers have now won eight straight games at home and four in a row after getting the best of Paul George's Oklahoma City Thunder on Thursday night at the Staples Center. Los Angeles had the largest margin of victory this season beating Oklahoma City by 25 points.

Following the impressive win over the Thunder, head coach Luke Walton talked about the two players Lakers traded for earlier in the day and when they'll be sporting the purple and gold for the first time. Newcomers Isaiah Thomas and Channing Frye will connect with the team on the road.

“They're supposed to meet us in Dallas to my understanding, and be ready to play,” Walton said. “It is tough when you get brand new guys. Obviously, we will get them a video playbook, have coaches sit with them and walk through some of the stuff we do. It is pretty limited when it happens that quickly, but as of right now, they are supposed to meet us in Dallas and be ready to play for that game.”

Thomas and Frye will replace Jordan Clarkson and Larry Nance Jr. who are headed to the Cleveland Cavaliers. The Lakers also received a top-three protected first-round draft pick from the Cavs in the blockbuster deal which went down before the NBA trade deadline on Thursday.

With the Lakers shipping out two of their best players, it was uncertain how the team would respond against the Thunder. Fortunately for Los Angeles, the team didn't miss a beat with five players scoring in double figures led by Kentavious Caldwell-Pope (20), Brandon Ingram (19), and Julius Randle (17).

After getting their 23rd win of the season, the Lakers will go on the road to play three games on the road before heading into the All-Star break. Los Angeles will take on the Mavs on Saturday with their two newcomers followed by a matchup against the New Orleans Pelicans on Wednesday and finishing with a game against the Minnesota Timberwolves on Thursday.
