Los Angeles Lakers legend Magic Johnson was the one who helped to recruit LeBron James to Hollywood during the summer of 2018. He has always acknowledged that LeBron is a generational talent.
Yet, Johnson believes that James' son, Bronny, could end up being even better than his father.
TMZ Sports caught up with Magic, who suggested that Bronny has the opportunity to surpass LeBron, although Johnson acknowledged that they are big shoes to fill:
“I think so,” Johnson tells us. “You hope so, anyway. Normally what happens is sometimes with all that skill and talent that LeBron has, it passes to his son.” “I think that he has a chance to be unbelievable and either just as good as his dad or a little better. But, that's big shoes to fill though. LeBron is playing awesome right now. MVP of league right now.”
James showed impressive feel for the game and incredible poise for his age. He wasn't affected by the circus-like environment around him. James has a smooth shooting stroke from three, competed on both ends and played with energy. He finished with 11 points and his team left with a double digit victory.
Bronny has grown well over 6-foot-2 and he is regarded as a more advanced shooter than LeBron was at that age.
Still, Bronny's father is regarded by most as one of the five best basketball players ever. Those are indeed some very big shoes to fill.
