At the halftime break of Sunday's Game 2 contest between the Los Angeles Lakers and the Denver Nuggets, Inside the NBA host Charles Barkley expressed his belief that Anthony Davis did not possess a “killer mentality.” Not long after, AD absolutely obliterated Barkley's statement with his epic game-winner at the buzzer.

We've dug up a stat that will make Barkley look even more foolish with his earlier statement. As it turns out, Davis happens to be one of the best when it comes to clutch situations:

The producers over at TNT should have probably shown this stat to Barkley before the Hall of Famer went on his tirade at halftime. That's water under the bridge now, however, and this goes down as another L for Barkley, along with a number of his unfulfilled “guarantees.”

We've already run out of superlatives for Anthony Davis' heroics on Sunday, and we're pretty sure you've seen and read a lot of stuff about that epic game-winner already. However, what we have to mention is how important this single shot could turn out to be in how this series plays out.

Had Davis missed that shot, the Nuggets would have been able to tie the series at 1-1 after a very impressive comeback in the fourth period. Not only would momentum have been one their side, but this victory would have given them the confidence required to potentially upset a heavily-favored Lakers side.

Instead, L.A. is now up 2-0 in the series, and are just two wins away from booking their place in the NBA Finals. Thanks, AD.
