Shooting guard Troy Daniels says going from the Phoenix Suns to the Los Angeles Lakers is “a breath of fresh air.”

Daniels signed a one-year, $2.03 million free agent deal with the Lakers. The guard says it's every players dream to play at the highest level and compete for a championship, something the Suns are a long ways from doing.

Troy Daniels will space the floor for the Lakers with his shooting. The 28-year-old is a career 40.0 percent shooter from beyond the arc. This past season with the Suns, Daniels averaged 6.2 points and 1.4 rebounds while shooting 41.1 percent from the field, 38.1 percent from the 3-point line and 78.3 percent from the charity stripe.

The Lakers have done a good job of surrounding LeBron James and Anthony Davis with shooters. Daniels, Danny Green, Jared Dudley and Kentavious Caldwell-Pope are all guys who can hit the 3-ball at a high rate. Los Angeles definitely learned its lesson from last season when it signed Rajon Rondo, Lance Stephenson and Michael Beasley after landing LeBron.

The Lakers, Los Angles Clippers, Utah Jazz and Golden State Warriors are the four elite teams in the Western Conference. Laker fans are hoping LeBron and Davis can lead the franchise to banner No. 17 in 2019-20.
