Los Angeles Lakers superstar small forward LeBron James believes ESPN won't be able to ever fire former NBA forward Richard Jefferson.

James believes Jefferson is safe at ESPN since he's, well, friends with The King:

LeBron James and Richard Jefferson won a title together on the Cleveland Cavaliers back in 2016. Channing Frye was on that team as well. The Cavs became the first team in NBA history to erase a 3-1 series deficit in the NBA Finals by defeating the 73-9 Golden State Warriors.

Before the season was suspended due to the coronavirus pandemic, LeBron and the Lakers had the top record in the Western Conference standings. Although they were coming off a home loss to the Brooklyn Nets prior to play being suspended, the Lakers did beat the Milwaukee Bucks and L.A. Clippers in back-to-back games before their loss to the Nets.

James has been nothing short of spectacular for the Lakers this season, but what else is new? The four-time MVP was averaging 25.7 points, 7.9 rebounds and 10.6 assists in 60 games for the Purple and Gold. LeBron was shooting 49.8 percent from the field, 34.9 percent from beyond the arc and 69.7 percent from the free-throw line.

Hopefully, the NBA resumes play in the summer once the coronavirus dies down. Until then, Lakers and NBA fans as a whole will have to tune into social media to see what LeBron and other stars are doing during the hiatus.
