Los Angeles Lakers fans saw a moment to remember on Sunday as LeBron James and Kobe Bryant met at Staples Center.

Kobe was sitting courtside to watch the Lakers play the Atlanta Hawks. As the two teams faced a dead-ball situation, LeBron got the chance to meet Bryant and shook each other's hands.

Now that he is retired from basketball, Kobe Bryant admitted previously that he will not watch games lives too often so he can spend more time with his family. With that said, seeing him with his daughter Ginna in the game is undoubtedly a rare thing.

Sure enough, LeBron didn't waste the opportunity to acknowledge unarguably the greatest player to don the Purple and Gold uniform.

James did the same last week, when he came over to greet Arizona Cardinals quarterback Kyler Murray who was watching courtside in their match against the Phoenix Suns.

James and Bryant, meanwhile, was one of the greatest “what if” rivalries in the history of the NBA. Once considered as the two greatest players in the league at the height of their careers, the pair did not meet in the Finals.

They came close in 2009 when the Lakers emerged out of the West, but James’ Cleveland Cavaliers was eliminated by the Orlando Magic in the Eastern Conference Finals.
