LeBron James and the Los Angeles Lakers had quite the hype man as they host the New Orleans Pelicans at Staples Center on Tuesday.

Prior to tip-off, “The King” was introduced by one of the most recognizable faces in all of professional wrestling, “The Nature Boy” himself Ric Flair.

Flair called the Staples the “home of the greatest athlete in the world today” before introducing James to the doting home crowd. He followed his spirited introduction with his patented “Wooooooo” war cry,  pumping up the entire arena filled with Lakers fans.

Lakers shooting guard Kentavious Caldwell-Pope was also pretty fired up by the introductions, as he was seen getting riled up in the background.

Flair turned 71 years old on Tuesday and chose to spend his birthday watching the Purple and Gold.

LeBron James, meanwhile, does not seem to need the additional boost during intros as he continues his fine play in his 17th season. Jame is averaging 25.2 points, 7.7 rebounds, 10.7 assists, and 1.2 steals while leading the Lakers to the best record in the Western Conference.
