LeBron James won't be suiting up for Team USA when they defend their crown at the Tokyo Olympics this summer. But even without the Los Angeles Lakers superstar, the team looks quite formidable when you look through the roster.

Apparently, LeBron thinks that way as well. King James gave his seal of approval on the team set to take on all comers in Japan, which includes some of his longtime NBA adversaries in Kevin Durant, Jayson Tatum, and Damian Lillard.

The rest of the team features some of the best scorers on the planet, such as the NBA's second leading scorer last season in Washington Wizards guard Bradley Beal, as well as Phoenix Suns star Devin Booker, who's in the midst of competing for an NBA title after toppling LeBron James himself earlier in the postseason. We might have to start getting used to LeBron James as a Team USA spectator from now on. It looks definitive that he might have already played his last game in that red, white, and blue uniform. USA Basketball managing director Jerry Colangelo spoke to ESPN on James' contributions over the years, and hinted as much.

“… If you're a human being, your body is built to go so long depending on what your sport is, and then it's a downhill situation. LeBron made choices these last couple of Olympics not to participate because he's got a lot of things going on in his life. So he put in his time, he made a contribution that is appreciated, but I think his time is over.”

But despite no longer playing for the team, it looks like LeBron James is in full support of the squad as they hope to redeem the country from a disappointing World Cup appearance in 2019.
